Sharp apparently likes to be distinguished. SHARP and Sony

Since Sony decided to procure their new screens with Sharp panels one could believe that it is the Sharp (with its several major partners) will be the leader of the LCD market in the world. Market research clearly indicated, however, that winners should be looked for in Korea or Taiwan because it is there to produce the most matrices for laptops, monitors and televisions. The latest media reports, however, give the understanding that Sharp is growing because Pioneer also intend to join the group of its partners. This well-known in the world Car brand for not well informed was known for its production of excellent plasma televisions. Pioneer, however, has serious intentions regarding the LCD market, wants to enrich its TV offer and made precisely in this technology and looking for support from Sharp, which wants to produce 60,000 new LCD by the end of 2009.

New tvs by SHARP

Japanese producer, which until recently was far behind Sony, Samsung Panasonic or even today, not quite that equallized with them in terms of technology has the richest offer yet. Sharp apparently does not want inform whenever it prepares a new TV so it waited a moment and gathered at the same time 22 new models, which closed deftly in three series and has invited journalists to presentations.
Introduction of new models of Sharp LCD
Presents the series:
* DS5 with three TVs Range of diagonals 32, 37, 42 inches and 2000:1 contrast.
* GX5 with extensive offer of HD Ready models (the smaller diagonals) and Full HD (for larger), in addition, some of them equipped with the technology and 120hz such as the contrast of 2000:1.
* Rate closes RX5 containing three Full HD televisions on diagonals 46, 52 and 65 inches. All three work in technology 120hz and 12 bit processor image.
A common feature of all new Sharp screens is clarity, which amounts to 450 cd/m2.

SHARP – a short history

Sharp was founded in 1912 in Japan. The name is composed of one of the first inventions of the company’s founder: Tokuji Hayakawa 1915 invented a mechanical pencil, the Ever-Ready Sharp Pencil. In 1925 Sharp produced crystal radio, from 1929 tube radios. Since 1953 TV series has been produced. 1962 Sharp started to the first microwaves (microwave cooking appliances) build and in 1963 started the serial production of silicon solar cells and photo elements. 1964 Sharp built one of the first desk calculators, 1969 the first computer with LSI ICs and 1973 the first LCD calculator. In the 80 years Sharp wasinvolved instrumental in the development of portable computers not just for IBM-compatible laptops but mainly in the so-called Pocket BASIC programmable computer.
Sharp now has branches in 30 countries and sells its products in 164 countries. The product range includes, among other things, microwave ovens, hi-fi equipment, photocopiers, pocket and desktop computers, mobile phones, notebook computers and LCD technology. A well-known product, which in Germany but no longer distributed directly from Sharp is the Zaurus PDA series with embedded Linux operating system.
Since 1968, Sharp also in Europe. At that time, the European subsidiary “Sharp Electronics Europe GmbH based in Hamburg. In 1986 in Austria was also a branch established since 1994, in Vienna for the Eastern European region (Central and Eastern European).
